The Puma Pepper is a hybrid chili developed in Italy that matures with deep purple and yellow colors. The flavor is intense, much more complicated than a habanero but with a similar floral and fruity quality. The pepper has a sweet and citrusy flavor that makes for a bright Caribbean style hot sauce.
The heat is at the habanero level which many of our customers prefer, which is at about a 7 on a 1 to 10 heat scale. It packs a punch, but it's not overly hot. Just enough to give you a wild ride.
